Contact: Julia Maldonado, jmaldonado@calcima.orgSacramento - The California Construction and Industrial Materials Association (CalCIMA) announced its 2024 Annual Awards winners during a festive banquet at the Education Conference in Napa, California on October 30. The event, which featured a lively costume party theme, highlighted the achievements and contributions of our members.
The awards honor CalCIMA members who have gone above and beyond to advance the association in 2024. These members have made a significant impact on the association and industry through their commitment to membership, preservation to the industry, and by promoting its benefits to their peers to build a more successful organization.
Congratulations to the Annual Awards winners!

As Vice Chair of CalCIMA's Fleet and Equipment Committee, Homuth exemplified integrity, leadership, and commitment. Under his guidance, Con-Tech Manufacturing has supported CalCIMA's CARB's Advanced Clean Fleet advocacy efforts and provided essential maintenance training for ready-mix concrete trucks. Homuth fosters members' cooperation and promotes collaboration to achieve significant industry advancements.
Associate of the Year Award (Services): Kit Cole, Kit Cole Consulting
In collaboration with Summit Strategy Group, Cole went above and beyond with the “Communicate with Confidence” workshops for the Women of CalCIMA. The workshops were an incredible compliment to CalCIMA's key message training. CalCIMA has trained over 120 members and empowered them with the tools to advocate effectively for our industry.
Spirit of the Industry: Tom Maher, Holliday Rock Co., Inc.
The Spirit of the Industry Award recipient has a great desire to advance the industry's goals and demonstrate a passion to further the Association's policy agenda, and that's exactly what Maher did. By coordinating the PAC tournament and reaching out to members for participation and contributions, Maher had pulled off something that was very elusive for the association.
President's Award: Martin Hansberger, Holliday Rock Co., Inc.

Hansberger has always made it clear what his company, Holliday Rock Co., Inc., needed from CalCIMA, but was always clear about helping the association from Holliday Rock's side. His perspectives, honesty, integrity and eye for what's best for the industry earned him the President's Award.

Her energy, positivity, and dedication to the industry and her company makes her a valuable member of CalCIMA. Her small acts of promoting CalCIMA's benefits to her peers have made a large, lasting impact that the CalCIMA Staff truly appreciates.

Before he retired, Limas joined CalCIMA in 2021 as the Director of Asphalt Advocacy and Technical Affairs to establish an asphalt branch. That dedication earned him the Special Recognition Award. CalCIMA thanks Limas and wishes him a wonderful retirement.
