Greenouse Gases Going Down

A recent progress report from the Air Resources Board shows California is slightly ahead of emission reduction targets for greenhouse gas reduction. Based on 2017 data, emissions declined by 4.5%.  
The transportation sector remains the largest source at 40% of emissions, of which trucks are 8.4%.  The industrial sector represents about 21% of emissions, with cement accounting for 1.8%....About two-thirds of California adults still strongly support AB 32, the Global Greenhouse Emissions Reduction Act of 2006, and about 75% would like to see more done to reduce auto emissions, according to a recent public opinion poll...The Air Resources Board has issued draft regulatory language for zero-emission trucks.  It is to help implement the state's Sustainable Freight Action Plan.   It will review the proposal at an Aug. 21 meeting in Sacramento via webcast.
