Environmental Product Declarations
CalCIMA members are essential to California’s sustainable development and decarbonization goals, and they are industry leaders in environmental innovation through carbon reduction initiatives and the use of renewable energy. The importance of transparency is a key component to providing materials that are critical to our infrastructure and safe for the communities we build and live in.
Environmental Production Declarations (EPDs) account for the energy and emission reductions during the production of concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. They provide a universally accepted way to account for emission reductions and sustainability efforts.
So, CalCIMA is teaming up with Associate Members Climate Earth and WAP Sustainability Consulting to help members with the creation and implementation of EPDs. We will be hosting two free educational webinars in November to help our members navigate the process. Please reach out to Stephanie Pridmore for more information.
