Administrative, Events and Membership Coordinator
The California Construction and Industrial Materials Association (CalCIMA) is a statewide trade association for the construction and industrial materials industries, which includes aggregate, ready-mixed concrete, asphalt and industrial mineral producers.
Job Summary:
The Administrative, Events and Membership Coordinator position, provides administrative and operational support for the office and staff, supports the recruitment and retention of the association’s members, and assists in coordination of meetings, events and trainings.  This position reports to the Chief of Operations.
Administrative Duties:
It is imperative that the candidate has a strong administrative background with excellent organizational, computer, verbal and written communications skills.  This position will be responsible for all functions related to maintaining the office and supporting the executive staff.  Duties will include booking travel for all staff, coordinating internal meetings and maintaining all calendars.  Other duties include minor website updates, maintenance of online job board, assistance with accounting files, invoice tracking and collections, office supplies, etc.
Events Duties:
Experience in planning and coordinating small and large events is preferred.  The duties will include setting up and marketing online registration, which includes accepting and tracking payments.  Coordinating with venues and catering companies, coordination with speakers and onsite event support.  Responsibilities will also be to ensure that the policies of meetings and events are followed, including announcements, meeting materials and communication.  The ideal candidate will have experience in producing online webinars.
Membership Duties:
The Administrative, Events and Membership Coordinator will have the responsibility of maintaining the membership database, communicating with potential members, including recruitment and member onboarding, and will be the point of contact for member requests.  This position will also be responsible for the production of the annual membership directory and buyers’ guide.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a background working for a trade association or other non-profit and will have 3-5 years of administrative experience.  
A college degree or 4 years of experience in the job duties herein will be required.
Light travel will be required.
